Pickup day and service area lookups for waste collection companies

Customers want to know two things: do you collect at my address, and what day. We build the lookup that tells them, then helps them choose a cart size and start service.

Pickup dayThursday

Sound familiar?

  • Your office fields the same pickup-day and coverage calls all week.
  • Route boundaries live in a map or spreadsheet nobody outside the office can read.
  • New customers sign up for service in places your trucks don’t go.

What we can build for waste & collection.

Every project is scoped around your business. These are the pieces teams in this space ask for most, and you only pay for the ones you use.

  1. 01

    Service area check

Tell customers right away whether you collect at their address, before they fill out a form.

  2. 02

    Pickup day lookup

Show the collection day for each address, based on your route data.

  3. 03

    Route assignment

Assign each new customer to the correct route automatically, so dispatch gets clean data.

  4. 04

    Cart sizes and options

Let customers choose cart sizes, collection frequency, recycling, and extras available in their area.

  5. 05

    Customer enrollment

Move from address result to a signup that’s already tied to a validated address and route.

  6. 06

    Zone-based pricing

Price service differently by zone, with rules your team can read and change.

  7. 07

    Waitlist for unserved addresses

Capture requests from outside your routes so you know where adding stops would pay off.

  8. 08

    Route-fill campaigns

Mail the streets next to existing routes with a campaign link, then track who signs up.

How it works for waste & collection.

  1. 1

    Customer enters an address

Autocomplete helps them pick a real address on your site.

  2. 2

We match it to your routes

The address is checked against your service area and route boundaries.

  3. 3

They see service, day, and options

Pickup day, cart choices, and pricing for their zone appear together.

  4. 4

    Enrollment lands with your team

New customers arrive with a validated address and route.

What we set up with you.

You bring your business knowledge and your service data. We handle the technical side, and you review real test addresses before anything goes live.

  • Service-area and route boundaries from your existing maps or GIS exports
  • Pickup days, frequencies, and cart options by area
  • Pricing rules by zone
  • Result wording for in-area and out-of-area addresses
  • Where enrollments and notifications go

Questions about waste & collection tools.

Can customers look up their trash pickup day by address?

Yes. When route and schedule data supports it, the result shows the customer’s pickup day alongside confirmation that you serve their address.

What if our routes aren’t in a digital map yet?

We can work from existing GIS exports, and boundary preparation (cleanup, conversion, or drawing missing areas) is scoped and quoted separately depending on the condition of your data.

Can pricing vary by area?

Yes. Zone-based pricing rules can be configured and changed, and customers only see the options that apply at their address.

How do holidays or schedule changes work?

Schedule notes can be updated as part of ongoing care. Larger scheduling logic, like holiday shifts per route, is scoped with you.

Does it replace our dispatch or billing software?

No. It handles the customer-facing address check and enrollment. Connecting to dispatch or billing is a separate, scoped project.

How much does it cost?

Every project gets a fixed written price before work begins. Example projects start at $995, and you can have MillerGeo manage it or have it handed off to your team. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

How accurate are the results?

Results are only as accurate as the boundary data behind them. We validate with representative test addresses before launch and agree how edge cases should be handled.
